Rumour

Official skins

There are none yet — no store, no battle pass. Hints of a future cosmetics system have been datamined, but Valve hasn’t announced one. We treat it as rumour until it ships.

Where to get & how to install

.vpk
  1. 1Download a mod — a .vpk file — from GameBanana.
  2. 2Drop it in …/Deadlock/game/citadel/addons (create the folder if needed).
  3. 3Rename it pak01_dir.vpk (then pak02_dir.vpk, …).
  4. 4Add to gameinfo.giSearchPaths: Game citadel/addons and AddonRoot citadel_addons.
  5. 5Or skip steps 2–4 — a mod manager does it for you.

A patch can overwrite gameinfo.gi — redo step 4. Mod managers ride that out.

Mods are cosmetic and client-side — only you see them, no gameplay effect. Valve doesn’t officially support them: install at your own risk, and never gameplay mods (that’s a ban).

Skins and mods in Deadlock

Deadlock still has no official skin store or battle pass, so the whole cosmetic scene is community-made. This page collects 1,614 hero reskins shared on GameBanana, sorted by hero, plus the map, HUD, crosshair and effect mods players use to reskin the rest of the game. Every one is a .vpk file you install locally: cosmetic only, visible just to you, with no effect on your matches. Pick a hero to browse their skins, or grab a mod manager to install in one click. Datamined hints suggest official cosmetics might land one day, but until Valve announces them, everything here is unofficial and used at your own risk. Never install gameplay mods, which are bannable.
