Deadlock Mod Loaderin-browser Installs straight from GameBanana. deadlocker.netgallery Community gallery of 1,000+ skins and mods, sorted by hero.
  1. 1Download a mod — a .vpk file — from GameBanana.
  2. 2Drop it in …/Deadlock/game/citadel/addons (create the folder if needed).
  3. 3Rename it pak01_dir.vpk (then pak02_dir.vpk, …).
  4. 4Add to gameinfo.gi → SearchPaths: Game citadel/addons and AddonRoot citadel_addons.
  5. 5Or skip steps 2–4 — a mod manager does it for you.

A patch can overwrite gameinfo.gi — redo step 4. Mod managers ride that out.

Mods are cosmetic and client-side — only you see them, no gameplay effect. Valve doesn’t officially support them: install at your own risk, and never gameplay mods (that’s a ban).
