Shadow Weave
Become Stealthed. Whenever you take damage while Stealthed you get briefly revealed.
Attacking or using an ability will end your stealth and start an ambush, temporarily granting you bonus Fire Rate, Spirit Power and Melee Damage.
Active — bind to a key and trigger it (Z/X/C/V).
Shadow Weave is an active stealth tool — hit the button to vanish, then either sneak into a flank for a pick or pop out with a shot to fire off the Ambush window: bonus Fire Rate, Spirit Power and Melee for a few seconds. The passive sprint speed and out-of-combat regen also make it a clean roam-and-reset item between fights. At Tier 3 / 3200 souls it's a mid-game pickup for anyone who wins by catching enemies out of position.
When to buy
Buy it when your damage comes from picking off lone targets rather than standing in a teamfight — flankers and roamers like Haze, Wraith, Vindicta or a snowballing Abrams who wants a clean engage. It's a mid-game power spike: 3200 souls is a real chunk, so slot it once you have a gun or burst worth ambushing with. It's also a quiet escape tool — break line of sight, vanish, and let the regen tick you back up while you rotate. Skip it on heroes that fight from the front and never leave the brawl; the stealth and Ambush window are wasted if you're just standing in the open trading.
How to use it
Two completely different plays. The patient one: activate, walk wide around the enemy, and open from a flank or behind — the first shot ends stealth and triggers Ambush, so you get the burst window plus the element of surprise. The greedy one (and the one a lot of players actually run): activate mid-fight and immediately attack to proc Ambush instantly for a free Fire Rate / Spirit / Melee burst, treating it as an aggro button rather than a sneak. Both are legit. The big catch is reveal-on-damage: any chip that lands on you while stealthed flickers you back into view, so don't try to sneak through Alchemical Fire, bullet spray or a Curse tick — get clean first, then go invisible.
Should I sneak with Shadow Weave or just use it for the Ambush buff?
Both work. The clean play is to flank and open from stealth for surprise plus the burst, but proccing Ambush instantly mid-fight for the Fire Rate, Spirit and Melee window is a fully viable, common way to run it — treat it as an aggro button when there's no time to sneak.
Is Shadow Weave worth 3200?
On a flanker or roamer who kills by catching people out of position, yes — it buys you picks, an escape valve and a burst window in one slot. On a front-line hero who never leaves the brawl it's mostly a dead pickup.
