Souls
Souls fund purchases and hero progression, so earning them is only half the decision. You also need a safe collection route and a chance to turn the income into something that helps the next fight.
Collect the reward you created
Trooper rewards include a flying orb that can be contested and a ground pickup your team must approach. Shooting the wave and immediately leaving can abandon part of its value. Plan collection around enemy sight lines rather than walking forward on autopilot.
Turn income into an advantage
Before taking a long fight, check whether carried souls would buy the protection or active item you need. Separate money available to spend from total economic progress. Unsecured souls introduce additional risk when you die, making a greedy route through enemy territory more costly.
