Alchemical Fire
Throw a flask that explodes on contact, creating an area that does increasing Spirit Damage per second and reduces enemy Bullet Resist.
50% less effective vs non-heroes.
Active — bind to a key and trigger it (Z/X/C/V).
Alchemical Fire is a thrown flask that drops a burning pool of ramping Spirit damage and strips Bullet Resist off anyone standing in it. The damage alone is small — the real payoff is the resist shred, which makes your whole team's gunfire bite harder on a clumped enemy, while the zone itself forces people off a chokepoint, an objective, or out of the corner they're healing in.
When to buy
This is a mid-to-late item you slot once your core gun pieces are online and fights start grouping up — it shines on a team that pushes high ground, contests objectives, and shoots together. It's a weapon item that deals Spirit damage, so it works on any build and any hero with a free active slot. Skip it as a farming or wave-clear tool: it does 50% less to non-heroes, so it's a fight and zoning purchase, not jungle speed.
Tricks & synergies
The win condition is the Bullet Resist shred, not the burn — pop it onto a grouped enemy right before your team commits gunfire, and everyone's DPS jumps. It ramps to full over a few seconds, so it rewards enemies who are pinned in place: throw it under a stun, knockdown or a tight chokepoint instead of open ground they'll stroll out of. The lingering damage also denies safe resets, so it's great for flushing someone who ducked behind cover to heal, or for contesting a Soul Urn / objective you don't want them parking on.
Is Alchemical Fire worth it?
On a gun team that fights grouped, yes — the Bullet Resist shred multiplies everyone's gunfire on the targets standing in it. As a solo pickup for the Spirit damage alone it's underwhelming; you buy it for the debuff and the zone, not the ticks.
Is it an active or a passive?
An active — you throw the flask, and it does nothing sitting in your inventory. Bind it and use it to open fights, deny a chokepoint, or flush an enemy out of cover.
