Fleetfoot is the gun item for heroes who want to fight on the move. Its passive removes the move-speed penalty you normally eat while firing, so you can strafe and kite while pumping bullets, and the active throws in a short burst of move speed plus slow resistance for chasing a kill or peeling off a fight.
When to buy
Slot it on any sustained-fire hero who wins by dancing around the target instead of planting still — gun carries like Haze, Vindicta, Wraith or Mo & Krill, and anyone whose damage comes from holding the trigger. At 1600 it's a comfortable mid-game weapon pickup once your core DPS is online. Skip it on burst casters who barely touch their gun, and on Ivy, who already fires at full move speed and gets nothing from the passive.
How to use it
The passive is the real reason you buy Fleetfoot — being able to strafe at full speed while shooting is both more DPS uptime and harder to hit. Treat the active as a bonus and hold it for the moment you actually need the speed: closing on a low target, sprinting into a fight, or breaking a slow that's about to get you killed, rather than firing it on cooldown. The slow resistance on the active makes it a clean answer to slow-heavy enemies. Note that move-speed bonuses stack with diminishing returns, so doubling up on speed items won't give you the full number.
Is Fleetfoot worth it?
On a hero that fights while moving, yes — strafing and kiting at full speed while shooting is a real damage-and-survival upgrade. On stationary burst heroes it's mostly a wasted slot.
Is Fleetfoot an active or a passive?
Both. The passive removing the move-speed penalty while shooting is always on; the active adds a short burst of extra move speed and slow resistance on a fairly short cooldown.
