Status effects and crowd control
Control effects remove different options. Silence, disarm, immobilize and stun are not interchangeable labels, so the correct response starts by identifying the action you lost and the effect that caused it.
Match the answer to the restriction
A silence does not automatically interrupt a channel already running; current Sleep Dagger and Silence Wave explicitly preserve that distinction. Movement restrictions can target abilities, items or stamina differently. Slowing Hex, for example, still allows stamina use, so its victim retains some escape choices.
Prepare protection before losing the button
Some defensive items need to be used before the relevant disable. Unstoppable cannot be activated while stunned or asleep, while an automatic cleanse has its own qualifying triggers. Practise the response against one specific enemy spell instead of mashing every defensive key after control lands.
