Kinetic Dash hands you Fire Rate and bonus Ammo every time you Dash-Jump — a motion mobile gun heroes already make constantly — so it's basically free attack speed for playing the way you already do. At 1600 it's one of the cheapest early weapon items that scales your DPS, and the buff rides until your next reload (up to 7 seconds).
When to buy
This is an early-game weapon pickup for any gun hero who Dash-Jumps into and around fights — Wraith, Haze, Vindicta, Grey Talon, anyone whose damage comes from holding the trigger while staying mobile. It builds straight out of Extra Stamina, so the component already helps you Dash-Jump more often to keep the buff live. At 1600 souls it's a cheap, slot-efficient way to push early aggression before your bigger DPS items come online. Skip it on stationary or turret-style heroes like McGinnis, and on burst casters who barely touch their gun — there's nothing to spend the Fire Rate on.
How to use it
The catch is that the buff lasts until your next reload (capped at 7s), so the play is to open a fight on a full mag: Dash-Jump in, then dump the whole magazine at boosted Fire Rate before you ever hit reload. Reloading too early throws the buff away. That makes it pair naturally with magazine and ammo items — a bigger clip means more shots fired before the buff drops, and Kinetic Dash itself top-ups your ammo so you can keep firing longer. Get into the habit of weaving a Dash-Jump in right as the engagement starts rather than wasting it mid-rotation.
Is Kinetic Dash worth it?
On a mobile gun hero, yes — it's one of the cheapest early weapon items and turns a motion you already make into free Fire Rate and bonus Ammo. On stationary or low-fire-rate caster heroes it's mostly a wasted slot.
How do I keep the Kinetic Dash buff up?
Dash-Jump to trigger it, then avoid reloading — the buff holds until your next reload, up to 7 seconds. Open fights on a full mag and Dash-Jump in so you get the most shots out of each proc.
