When to buy & tricks

Tesla Bullets gives your gun a chance to zap the target with Spirit damage that arcs to a nearby enemy. It's a farming and clear item first — it chews through lane creeps and jungle camps so you out-pace the lobby on souls, and it adds free chip damage whenever you're shooting into a grouped fight.

When to buy

Pick it up mid-game when you want to speed up farm and snowball your soul lead — it's at its best on heroes that put a lot of bullets downrange, like Seven, McGinnis or Wraith, since every shot is another roll for the shock. It's also a clean answer to a stalled lane war or a split-push: the chain clears waves and camps far faster than your raw gun. If you're committing to a weapon build, it later upgrades into Capacitor to keep that scaling going.

Tricks & synergies

The shock jumps between targets, so it's strongest when enemies are clumped — a creep wave, a stacked camp, or a team that's all piled into one fight. Pair it with fire-rate items so you proc it more often, and lean on bullet lifesteal to stay topped up while you clear. Because the damage is Spirit, it ignores bullet resist and still bites squishies even when your gun is being walled off by armor.

More bullets = more procs — it shines on fast-firing or multi-projectile guns and underperforms on slow single-shot hitters.
Line up so a wave or camp is bunched together and let the chain do the clearing while you reload.
The shock is Spirit damage, so it keeps tickling enemies even when they stack bullet armor.

Is Tesla Bullets worth it?

If you want faster farm and an early soul lead, yes — it's one of the cleanest wave-clear and jungle items in the game. On slow, hard-hitting single-shot heroes the proc fires less often, so it's lower priority there.

Does the shock actually matter in fights?

Treat it as bonus chip, not your main damage. The chain pays off most when the enemy team is stacked together; in a clean 1v1 it's just a little extra Spirit damage per shot.
