When to buy & tricks

Glass Cannon v2 is the gun carry's take-over button: it cranks your Weapon Damage way up in exchange for a chunk of your max health, then stacks a permanent bonus every time you land a hero kill and strips a stack each time you die. It's a snowball item — you slot it when you're already ahead and your gun build is online, to turn a lead into a lobby-ending power spike rather than to climb out of a hole.

When to buy

This is a Tier 4 closer, not an early or comeback buy. Pick it up once your gun is already winning trades and you have some survivability behind it — the max-health cut makes you fragile, so the souls only pay off if you can stay alive long enough to farm kills and bank stacks. It shines on gun carries who reliably get picks and live in fights: Haze, Wraith, Vindicta, Infernus and similar bullet heroes. Skip it when you're behind or on a hero that can't close kills on its own — every death you take rips a stack back off and your reduced HP just makes you easier to delete.

How the snowball works

The base stats land the moment you buy it; the stacking bonus rewards you for converting your lead — each hero kill adds a permanent stack, so the item keeps getting stronger the harder you're winning. The flip side is just as sharp: dying knocks a stack off, so a fed Glass Cannon player who throws a teamfight loses the fight and a chunk of damage at once. Treat your stacks like a resource: play for clean kills, and don't over-commit into a lost fight when you're sitting on a full stack count.

It's a snowball item — buy it ahead, not behind. Every death strips a stack, so it punishes you hardest when you're already losing.
The max-health cut makes you squishy; back it with lifesteal or an escape/survivability layer so you aren't getting bursted before you trade.
Best on gun carries who can actually close kills. On heroes that can't finish picks, you'll never bank stacks and you just keep the downside.
Late game, protect your stack count: losing a teamfight costs you the fight and shaves your damage at the same time.

Is Glass Cannon v2 worth it?

For a fed gun carry, yes — it's one of the highest-impact Tier 4 weapon buys because the damage spike plus the per-kill stacking lets you take over a lobby fast. It's a bad pick when you're behind: the max-health loss makes you fragile and every death claws back a stack, so the item snowballs against you instead of for you.

When should I buy Glass Cannon v2?

Once your gun build is already online and you're winning trades, ideally with a bit of sustain or survivability already slotted to cover the health cut. It's a closer that cashes in a lead, not a power item to rush blind early or to buy when you're losing.
