When to buy & tricks

Mercurial Magnum imbues one ability so it charges up over time into more spirit damage and fire rate, and casting it instantly reloads and laces your bullets with spirit damage until your next reload. It's the late-game pickup that makes a spirit hero's gun actually hurt, bridging the gap between casts.

Tricks

The charge builds while the ability is off cooldown, so imbue something you can hold rather than spam — letting it sit maxes the bonus spirit damage and fire rate before you commit. The free reload on cast means you weave it mid-fight to refresh ammo and re-trigger the spirit-bullet window instead of pausing to reload. Because the bullet bonus scales off your Spirit Power, it pairs best with heavy spirit builds where your gun would otherwise be dead weight.

Imbue a longer-cooldown ability and hold it until a fight starts — you cash in a fully charged spike plus a fresh spirit-bullet mag at once.
Treat each cast as your reload: fire your clip dry, then use the ability to top up and keep bullets spirit-charged.
