Point Blank
When in close range to your target, gain Weapon Damage and your bullets apply a Movement Slow.
Passive — works automatically once bought.
Point Blank is the Tier 3 upgrade of Close Quarters: stand in someone's face and you get a large weapon-damage spike, plus your bullets stick a movement slow on them. The slow is the whole point — it glues the target inside your close-range bubble so the damage bonus never drops, while the baked-in bonus health and melee resist let you win the trade you started. It's a build-around power buy for shotgun and SMG brawlers, and dead weight on anyone who fights from range.
When to buy
This is the mid-game weapon spike for close-range carries — heroes whose whole gameplan is shoving a gun into someone's chest: Abrams, Haze, Wraith, Bebop, McGinnis, Lash, Pocket, Vindicta when she's playing brawl. You usually buy Close Quarters early in lane and upgrade it here once you have the souls and the fights are starting to matter; 3200 is a real chunk, so slot it when you actually win games by getting on top of people. Skip it entirely on poke and range heroes like Grey Talon or Seven — the whole package is gated behind being in someone's face, so a kiter gets almost nothing and just paid 3200 for a stat they can't turn on.
Tricks & synergies
Play it as a one-way street: once you're on a target the slow keeps them in your close-range window, which keeps the damage bonus live, which lets you finish them — so dive in committed, don't poke-and-back. Keep the stream going to keep the slow refreshed, so it loves magazine and fire-rate items (Extended Magazine, Rapid Rounds) that stop you reloading mid-kill. The slow also sets up your team's heavy skillshots and your own follow-up, and the free melee resist plus bonus health pairs cleanly with heavy-melee and wall-pin patterns — Abrams charging someone into a wall, anyone running a punch build. It stacks naturally with the rest of the close-range kit: Berserker, Hollow Point and melee lifesteal all reward the same standing-on-top-of-them playstyle.
Is Point Blank worth it?
On a close-range brawler, yes — it's one of the biggest conditional weapon-damage spikes in the game and the bullet slow makes the condition self-sustaining. On range or poke heroes it's a wasted 3200 souls, since you can't keep the close-range trigger on.
Point Blank or just stay on Close Quarters?
Close Quarters is the cheap lane buy; upgrade to Point Blank once you have the souls and want a real damage spike, because it adds the movement slow, bonus health and melee resist on top of a bigger close-range bonus. If your build is going elsewhere, you can leave it at Close Quarters — but a dedicated brawler wants the full upgrade.
